European History e-twinning project 2010/2011

Several European schools each located in different European countries will work together in e-twinning project for history and drama. First each school will make a research to find national historical event with influence to entire European history.Then this event will be described in English with Power Point presentation and share with other partners via the project web. Then each school prepare a script in English language and perform the chosen event on the stage before other students, parents and local media .Each partner’s performance will be recorded on DVD and sent to other partners. Parts of each video will be post in our project web site.

Aims:
To use nontraditional approaches in History and English lessons. To build students and teachers European identity through original look on their national identity. To develop students and teachers English language and ICT skills and their skills to work in a team. Students to find out that learning can be funny and usefully. Students and teachers to become familiar with history events of different European countries. The project will benefit students by opening their minds for different cultures and by helping them to accept the differences that exist among differing cultures

Work process:
The project will start in September 2010 and will last to May 2011. First step will be introducing step. Participating teams will introduce their selves and their school. Then each school Will make a research to find national historical event with influence to entire European history. Then this even will be described in English with Power Point or other way and share with other partners via e-twinning. Then each school prepare a script and perform the chosen event in English .This performance can be recorded on DVD. All videos will be shared between partners. Parts of each video will be post in the project web page. Last step will be to prepare by international team the brochure illustrated the project idea that European history is collection of national history events and in this common history picture each nation is important and all we are European citizens.

Expected results:
The project will create strong international friendships between students and teachers of differing backgrounds.
The project will further result in the following: Descriptions of several history events of different European countries history with influence of the entire European history. Several performances of chosen national history events in English language. Several school presentations. One web site collected all project materials. An photo gallery of each performance. Students and teachers impressions for their participating in this project
